Winter Park traveled to Colonial High School on Monday night to take on their metro conference opponent. The Wildcats showcased the depth of their roster with a lineup that included talented freshman Gianna Bellomo and Keana Lee as well as a host of veteran senior players. The Wildcats got off to a slow start but found their groove after the first water break. Senior Annesley Kolb’s strike found the back of the net in the 25th minute. Junior McKenna Singhofen scored for the Wildcats in the 39th minute. Winter Park went into the half with a 2-0 lead. In the second half Winter Park shut down the Colonial offensive attack with stand out play on the back line by seniors Mia Gluckman, Hannah Winner, and Aliyah Ramos. Singhofen would find the back of the goal again in 60th minute giving the Wildcats a 3-0 lead. Sophomore goalkeeper Madison Lee posted a clean sheet. The Wildcats improved to 7-1-1 in conference play and an overall record of 12-6-2.
