The Wildcats took on the Noles Thursday night at Showalter field. Both teams entered the contest with records of 4-3-1. Winter Park scored in the 3rd minute off a strike from senior Karina Groff. Groff would end the evening with a hat trick scoring again in the 13th and 26th minutes. Junior McKenna Singhofen scored twice in the first half for Winter Park in the 18th and 36th minutes. The Noles scored in the 18th minute of the match and the game was 5-1 at half-time. Freshman Maya Buhler put the Wildcats up 6-1 in the 68th minute with an assist from freshman Katie Robinson. The Wildcats’ defense, anchored by senior center backs Regan Staudt and Carly Tabares, stifled the Noles offense attack. Winter Park won the match 6-1 and improved to 5-3-1. The Wildcats resume play on January 3rd against Metro Conference and District foe Timber Creek High School. The match will be played at Southeastern University at 11:00 am.
