The Wildcats were back on the road Tuesday night to play Metro Conference foe Oak Ridge. Senior Carly Tabares got the scoring started for the Wildcats in the 10th minute off a set piece from 20 yards out. The Wildcats would score again 4 minutes later when senior Jojo Dahlberg found the back of the net off an assist by senior Annesley Kolb. Sophomore Hailey Ott’s strike in the 29th minute put the Wildcats up by three. Senior Gaby Ruela showed off her striking ability with goals in the 33rd, 39th, and 40th minutes, giving her a hat trick on the evening. Senior Joelle Hardy scored in the 37th and 39th minute. The Wildcats back line was anchored by freshman center back Keana Lee during the competition. Seniors Mia Gluckman and Aliyah Ramos owned the mid-field keeping possession of the ball and denying the Pioneers any real scoring opportunities. The competition was called at half-time in accordance with FHSSA’s mercy rule. The win by the Wildcats improved their record to 2-1 in the Metro Conference.
